Family Shalom is an artisan workshop that works to serve the Lord!, placing His word on plaques, pins or buttons and key chains that give Faith and hope to all who read it.
Family Shalom began in September 2018 due to the need to seek financial support for the social work Time of Healing, Miracle and Liberation of the Nursing Homes of Miami Dade and Broward, bringing praise, word and joy to the patients weekly since September 30, 2013.
On September 30, 2013, the ministry of Time of Healing, Miracle and Liberation was born; it was born out of spiritual need. We observed that the patients of the Nursing Home, although physically well, internally they seemed sad and depressed; They lacked motivation for their lives, and what better than to bring a weekly service to different Nursing Homes where they are told about the word of God and singing praises of the Lord! 🙏 Also, accompanying them and listening to their situations and fears of some and giving them advice that they ask me for.
I started with the Kendall Home, then the Hialeah, Coral Gable and Miramar Homes, hoping that other Homes will join me for these services.
I love what I do and I like to see the patients happy with these services that they look forward to weekly and that gives me a lot of satisfaction and happiness because I know that these life motivation services give them strength to move forward.
It has been very hard, because I do not receive help from the Homes, entities or people who support this cause; which is to bring love, Faith and hope to these patients. I have supported myself with my own resources. I also distribute Bibles at the waiting points for public bus transportation, leaving the Bibles on the benches so that whoever arrives to wait for one of these buses has the Bible. It is a way of talking to them about God! And showing people that they are not alone, that there is a God who loves them! I also give away stones with Bible verses that each person chooses at random and where the verse that comes out will be a word that the Lord speaks to them, whether it is a word of Sanction, Restoration, exhortation, confirmation and love.
